I am a highly creative & innovative designer with over a decade of experience in end to end product development with a background in fashion and graphic design. I am passionate about solving complex problems & designing user-centered products while meeting business needs.
Since earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in 2007, I’ve built my career as a fashion designer designing apparel and accessories for women’s, men’s, and children’s categories. I also founded and launched a diaper bag company where I managed the entire product development process from concept to production to shipping operations. Running my own company was a priceless experience that taught me many lessons, the biggest one being the importance of designing user centered products while meeting business needs. This lesson helped me understand why my business didn’t succeed as I had intended. It had become clear that my lack of user research hurt my business tremendously. I had designed, manufactured, and mass produced a product that was not based on user needs. This misstep resulted in slow sales, over-spending on marketing, and difficulty justifying the product price. This major lesson led me to wanting to take a deep dive into UX Design. I enrolled in the User Experience Design Immersive program at General Assembly from which I graduated in 2019.
I love the journey that has led me to UX Design and believe it has made me a more well rounded designer. I am confident my background and experience will allow me to bring value to any team designing innovative products.
